Local Area
The inviting coastal village of Creetown is perhaps best known for its country music festival and as the setting for the cult film, The Wicker Man (there’s a 12 ft high model of him among many other fascinating exhibits in the Creetown Heritage Museum). And there’s a magical thrill in visiting a castle you can only by reach by boat. Threave Castle sits on a small island in the River Dee, and in another part of this great estate, Threave Gardens should please keen gardeners - both are easily accessible from our holiday parks in Kirkcudbrightshire.

Everything is on your doorstep, lots of wildlife parks, outdoor play parks and visitors centres are within a short distance of the park. The park itself was very well kept, the pool area immaculate and the night entertainment excellent for the kids. |

It was as busy or as quiet as you would like it to be. The site is well maintained and offers something for everyone from quiet beaches to night life. |
